Radio JOY 90.5 FM Kigoma is the community radio station broadcasting in Kigoma, which JOY owns IN THE HARVEST organization. We started full Broadcasting in February 2016. Radio JOY FM provides information that caters to the interest of the Kigoma region, Radio Joy broadcasts content that is popular to a local audience community. Radio Joy Fm carries news and information programming geared toward the local area, particularly where other media cannot reach the area and minority groups that are poorly served by other major media outlets. Radio joy as a platform to enable participation of communities in developing activities like

building schools, hospitals and influencing behavior change. We produce programs like Good morning Kigoma, “Harakati za Vijana”, Mashua, “Dimba la Michezo”, East Africa Show, Lunch Time and so on, to keep the value, languages and cultures of Kigoma Society alive on a daily basis. Radio Joy Fm Kigoma work as a means to promote values of access to education, economic and social justice, against class, gender, race, and caste based violence, and transparency in governance.

The Owner – The organization owns Radio JOY FM, Kigoma, called Joy in the Harvest, which has been in Kigoma for more than twenty-five years; Radio Joy has a special emphasis on helping the poor, the disabled, and the disadvantaged through the program we produce. Not only that but also we are glad to be part of something big, through the programs Radio Joy producing is able to bring positive change to the Kigoma community.

Radio JOY Location – Radio JOY 90.5 Fm Kigoma, has studios located on Kibirizi Road, Kigoma Town. We are just very few kilometers from Kigoma Railway Station. Our broadcast tower is located on the highest point in the area.
