Uvinza FM is situated in Uvinza District of Kigoma Region, transmitting at FM 96.5 MHz frequency. Uvinza FM is registered under Business names by BRELA and has a broadcasting licence issued by TCRA. It is also incorporated with RITA as a trust.
Uvinza District has unique characteristics of socio economic backwardness. Its culture is predominantly peasant agriculture and animal husbandry has recently migrated into the area.Awareness creation by radio is needed to change mindsets that retard social and economic behavior change.
